Join in our HDR lunches on Peninsula campus to connect, compare notes and network with your peers.

Are you a PhD or Masters by Research student at Monash? That means you are an “HDR student” and you should definitely join one of our regular social gatherings that are just for you and your kind!

These socials are a great opportunity to meet people going through the same research journey as you, exchange ideas and network with students from all different faculties and disciplines.

Your lunch will be subsidised by the MGA.

MGA Health and Wellbeing Guidelines for Events 

  • Attend only when well: If you are feeling unwell or exhibiting flu-like symptoms, we kindly ask that you do not attend the event. 
  • Practice good hygiene: Please maintain good hygiene practices. This includes regular hand washing or using the hand sanitizer which will be readily available at the venue.
  • Mask availability: Masks will be available for attendees who request them.

Work for the MGA

The MGA employs Monash graduate students to fill the receptionist roles at the Clayton and Caulfield offices. When a vacancy arises we advertise the position through our email newsletter and on our website.

The Monash Graduate Association (MGA) is the representative body for all graduate research and coursework students enrolled at Monash University. So, what sets us apart from the University services? The MGA is an independent, not-for-profit association governed by graduate students, for graduate students. Our primary aim is to be there for you!
